Impositions of MEST II

Paint on plastered wall 16' x 60'. I designed this mural and painted it with two other artists in Los Angeles in 1974. Matter Energy Space and Time (MEST) juxtaposes the tree of life diagram from the cabala over the cave of the Cro-Magnon man using the planets of our solar system as sephiroths. On the right panel the child of the new age crawls out between classic Greek columns with mother earth laying in the hills as flying saucers launch from the primordial ooze. Yeah, the '70s in L. A. were full of supernatural magic and abstract thinking.
